News: 'Death On The Nile' trailer and poster

When director / actor Kenneth Branagh brought the beloved Agatha Christie novel 'Murder On The Orient Express' back to the big-screen in 2017 with an all-star cast, audiences flocked to see it. While a tale known by many thanks to the novel and various TV movie / cinematic adaptations, this was a refreshing period thriller in a season of CGI laden superhero / blockbuster action adventures.

Grossing over $350m on a $55m budget, a sequel was green-lit. Christie's 'Death On The Nile' sees Branagh back to star and direct in his new Hercule Poirot series. And today we have a new trailer and gorgeous looking poster continuing the visual aesthetics of 'MOTOE'.

On a luxurious cruise on the Nile River, a wealthy heiress is murdered. Fortunately, among the passengers is famed Belgian detective Hercule Poirot (Branagh), who immediately begin their investigation.

But just as Poirot identifies a motley collection of would-be murderers, several of the suspects also meet their demise, which only deepens the mystery of the killer's identity...

With an equally alluring A-list cast including Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Ali Fazal, Dawn French, Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Rose Leslie, Emma Mackey, Sophie Okonedo, Jennifer Saunders and Letitia Wright (pause for breath!) it's safe to say we are in good hands.

'Death On The Nile' is due for release October 23rd 2020.
