Known to millions of Star Wars fans as the original Mandalorian bounty hunter, Boba Fett, British actor Jeremy Bulloch has sadly passed away aged 75.
Jeremy was the actor inside the costume of Boba for 1980s The Empire Strikes Back and 1983s Return of the Jedi. While Boba had rather short screentime, Jeremy was able to convey a cool, calm and collected character who became a true cult favourite and helped spawn a legacy of Mandalorian lore seen in many Star Wars films, books and television to date.
He was also cast in small roles as Imperial officers and Republic pilots across the franchise as a kind nod to give the man behind the mask some screentime for fans.
But it was not just Star Wars that Jeremy was famous for; he was a strong actor of the big and small screen, known to many for his turns opposite Sir Cliff Richard in the 1962 classic Summer Holiday.
He continued to act in many outings such as stage and TV productions for over 4 decades including Doctor Who, Robin of Sherwood, The Bill and the acclaimed sitcom Agony.
Jeremy also appeared in three James Bond movies; the first as a Royal Navy officer in 1977s The Spy Who Loved Me and two more as MI6 operative Smithers in For Your Eyes Only and Octopussy.
With a small role in the Star Wars franchise, he always was a champion of the films and of his role as Boba Fett, touring many fan circuits and conventions across the world over many years. In fact, it was only in 2018 that Jeremy retired from the convention circuit to focus on his health and family.
It's safe to say he bore a legacy none will forget, especially those who grew up with him on screen, and how he helped create the galaxy's most notorious and badass bounty hunter.
