News: 'Three Men And A Baby' remake for Disney+

With no film safe from a remake / reboot , the latest 80s film announced for a Disney+ "re-imagining" is Leonard Nimoy's 1987 family comedy 'Three Men And A Baby'.

What's more, the first lead has been announced in the guise of 'High School Musical' graduate Zac Efron.

The original starred a threesome of hot screen talent; Steve Guttenberg fresh from his 'Police Academy' series, 'Magnum P.I' lead Tom Selleck and 'Cheers' frontman Ted Danson.

The family comedy presented us with the mid-adventures of three American bachelors who find a baby girl left on their doorstep, with no clue as to who or where the mother is.

So it falls to them to reevaluate their lifestyle to look after and raise little Mary, but with some emotional and comedic escapades in the process. The film's success led to a 1990 sequel 'Three Men And A Little Lady'.

It was even rumoured in 2010 about another sequel, 'Three Men And A Bride', that was in development. Sadly, nothing came from it, but what an opportunity that would have been.

It seems the next thing to do is to reinvent the story and the characters for a new generation.
